Objectives

Active participation in the advancement of
Iraqi institutions as the IPF is a network of specialised people in all
disciplines and expertise.

Coordination of efforts in order to raise the
efficiency of the country’s institutions. This is to include all areas of
development (health, civil, infrastructure, education, etc.). Means of
delivery shall include research, training, consultancy, active on-the-ground
work and support.

Adopting successful examples from other
countries and presenting the best ways of implementation in order to
facilitate the development process to provide the best services to the Iraqi
people.

To provide scientific and professional
consultancies to the country’s institutions of various disciplines.

Liaison with peers inside the country.
Membership
Membership is
open to any individual who believes in the above. Membership is granted upon
meeting the following requirements:

One member nominates and seconded by another
member

No objection from any existing member

The approval of the executive committee

Educational and professional achievement
Members shall
uphold the objectives of the IPF and work in concert to attain these objectives.
Web and e-mail applicants are required to provide names of two references.
IPF Structure
The IPF shall
achieve its aims and objectives via its members within their respective Groups
for a specific discipline.

Groups
The IPF consists
of a number of subject groups as illustrated in the Chart. A Group leader will
be elected for every group. Group leaders will form the executive committee for
the IPF. Groups may sub-divide when having enough number of members of the same
specialty.
Executive Committee
The executive
committee will be responsible for the management and strategic planning of the
Forum's objectives and directions. The executive committee shall be in charge of
the day-to-day activities of the IPF.
One of the
executive committee members will be elected to be the Forum's president by
simple majority. The executive committee shall meet at least once every three
months through any means of communication. Election for the first executive
committee shall take place when the total number of members reaches 50.
Follow-up and Observance Committee
This is a
separate independent non-technical committee and will be formed of permanent
members. The main function of this committee is to observe the performance of
all members and make sure the IPF does not deviate from its stated objectives.
It also has the final say in membership and major issues. Decisions are taken by
simple majority.
General Relations Committee
This committee
stems from the Executive Committee. It is responsible for all external and
internal interfacing and relations.
Planning and Studies Committee
This committee stems from the Executive Committee. It is responsible for
proposing, coordinating and guiding all current and future studies.
